AirBnB and other home rental sites

If you are staying more than two nights, it may be more economical to find lodging through AirBnB or a similar site.  Try to find lodging close to Fairchild Garden (10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33156).  Be aware that the further south you go, the worse the morning traffic will be to drive north to the Garden on the day of the in-person conference.  

Recommended hotels

Aloft Hotel near Dadeland Mall is our recommended hotel.  It is 4 miles from Fairchild Garden and near several nice restaurants.  It is currently sold out for the week of PRWG but worth calling to check for availability. 

Sunset Inn is a smaller, boutique hotel in South Miami, relatively affordable ($120-130/night), and set in downtown South Miami, which is loaded with nice restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and more.  You would need to park your car at a nearby municipal lot for $15/day.

Quality Inn South is not fancy but  it is relatively affordable ($126/night). It is on US1, facing Rockdale EEL Preserve-- all pine rockland!
