AirBnB and other home rental sites

If you are staying more than two nights, it will be much more economical to find lodging through AirBnB or a similar site.  Try to find lodging close to Fairchild Garden (10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33156).  Be aware that the further south you go, the worse the morning traffic will be to drive north to the Garden on the day of the in-person conference.  

Recommended hotels

Aloft Hotel near Dadeland Mall is our recommended hotel.  It is 4 miles from Fairchild Garden and near several nice restaurants.

Sunset Inn is a smaller, boutique hotel in South Miami, relatively affordable, and set in downtown South Miami, which is loaded with nice restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and more. 

The most affordable hotels near the conference is Gables Inn. This is an older hotel and definitely not fancy, but it is in a safe and convenient location.  It is right on US1, so don't book here if you can't stand some traffic noise.
